The room is 12x12, freshly painted and furnished with a queen size bed/mattress, large dresser, closet and desk, and, gets good morning light. The 2BD/1BA home is in a very peaceful, Richmond Hills Neighborhood. It's approximately 15 minutes from Berkeley by car, 5 minutes to El Cerrito Del Norte BART station and 5 minutes from Wildcat Canyon Park. You would most likely want motorized transportation. The house gets a lot of light. There's a gas stove, a washer and dryer and a fireplace. It has a large backyard with a nice redwood deck, a great view of Mt. Tamalpais, a lawn and a fenced off garden area for your cultivating pleasure.

I have a very mellow, low maintenance, 5yr old Bernese Mix. I am looking for a renter who likes dogs and would be willing to take care of him when I go out of town overnight, on occasion, and specifically for a trip to India, tentatively planned for the month of January.

Rent is $700/mo., INCLUDING ~ $100 worth of utilities! (PG&E, water, internet, cable, garbage). I would credit you $25/day against the following month's rent for dogcare - feeding and two walks per day. In exchange for dogcare, you would pay no rent and have the whole place to yourself if I go away for the month of January. I would be willing to sign a six month lease or go month to month.

Until I find a willing dog sitter type, I'm open to short-term rentals (weekly or monthly) regardless of the dogcare component.
